The purpose of posting this statement is NOT to cause Trevin harm or to label him a snitch. In fact, Kirkland believes that Trevin was told Kirkland was dead and, therefore, made up a story to save himself, believing he couldn't harm a dead person. Trevin was able to work the system and has completed the favorable sentence.

 

At the same time, Kirkland now has to expose and discredit this statement by highlighting the evidence the prosecution team had in their possession against a prospective witness. They avoided this evidence and prevented exposing it to the jury, instead focusing on wrongfully convicting Mr. Kirkland.
